Featuring Property From Several New York and CT Estates

Our Sixteenth Anniversary Fine Estates Auction, held Tuesday, July 8th, comprised over 375 lots of fresh estate property, and featured Part One - Antiques & Decorative Arts from the Estate of Bobbie Hainline Howrey, including several hundred books on fine art, antiques and various other subjects. Also offered was property from various other estates and collections from New York City, Westchester County New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut. The sale featured estate jewelry, several lots of estate sterling silver, as well as American, English and Continental formal and country furniture and decorations, fine Chinese and European porcelain, fine art and folk art, mid-century modern decorations and estate Oriental carpets. Of special interest were a group of Napoleonic related material, primarily prints and drawings, from an estate in Westchester County and a collection of custom sporting knives from an estate in Fairfield County. In addition, the sale featured the Hathaway-Phelps Family important Connecticut Queen Anne cherrywood bonnet top highboy, recently deaccessioned from The Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford CT.
